I received my B.S. in economics and neuroscience from Furman University in 2009 and then joined the Program in Neuroscience at Stony Brook University. My research focused on the ways sex hormones affect brain circuitry, neural activity, and behavior, and I completed my Ph.D. in 2014. I spent the following four years as a freelance science writer, and I’m now the Senior Science Writer in Yale University’s Office of Development.
